Welcome to CycloLodge Villa. We hope you have a comfortable and relaxing stay in Altea. Please read through this guide when you arrive, especially the sections on Wi-Fi, air conditioning, rubbish, pool rules, safety, quiet hours, and checkout.

Parking: Parking is available inside the gate, around the villa.

Entry instructions: Access and key pickup instructions are provided by the host, unless directed otherwise.

Keys and remotes: Guests will receive 2 gate remote controls and 3 house keys.

Important door warning: Please be mindful that the main door and the terrace door can only be opened with keys once they are closed. Please be careful so you do not get locked out.

Air conditioning: Air conditioning remotes can be found in the rooms. Please turn the air conditioning off when you leave the house.

Rubbish: Please separate rubbish into paper, glass, plastic, and general waste. Use the correct garbage containers off the main road.

4. Arrival and Entry

Property Access

Access and key pickup instructions are provided by the host, unless directed otherwise.

Please make sure the gate and any doors are properly closed behind you each time you enter or leave.

Keys and Gate Remotes

  • 3 house keys
  • 2 gate remote controls

Please keep the keys and gate remotes safe. If a key or gate remote is lost, contact us immediately.

Always take a key with you before closing the main door or terrace door so you do not get locked out.

5. House Rules

We want you to feel at home, but please remember that this is a private villa. We ask all guests to treat it with care and respect.

No Smoking Inside

Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are not allowed inside the house.

If you would like to smoke, please smoke outside only and carefully dispose of cigarette ends. Due to the heat and dry weather, cigarette ends can cause fires, so please be extremely careful.

No Parties or Events

Parties, events, large gatherings, and loud celebrations are not allowed.

Only guests included in the booking may stay overnight. Visitors are allowed only with prior approval from the host.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM until 7:00 AM.

During quiet hours, please keep voices, music, TV, and outdoor noise low. Please be considerate of neighbours, especially when arriving late or leaving early.

Maximum Occupancy

The maximum occupancy is as agreed when the booking was made. Please do not invite additional overnight guests unless agreed with the host in advance.

No Pets

Pets are not allowed at CycloLodge Villa.

Doors and Security

When leaving the house, please make sure all doors are closed properly, including the kitchen door and the 1st floor terrace doors.

Please lock the house and close the gate securely whenever you leave the property.

Pool Rules

  • Children must never be left unattended in the pool area.
  • Guests use the pool at their own responsibility and liability.
  • Do not jump or dive into the pool.
  • No glassware is allowed at or next to the pool.
  • Please use only plastic cups and non-breakable items outside and around the pool.
  • Please keep the pool area clean and tidy.
  • Please do not use the pool late at night during quiet hours.
  • The pool area is recorded for safety and liability reasons.

Roof Balcony / Terrace

The roof balcony / terrace may be used by guests to spend time and enjoy the views.

Please note that the roof balcony / terrace is not part of the main villa rental area. Guests may use it at their own risk.

Please use the stairs carefully at all times. Do not run, jump, climb, or behave unsafely on the stairs, balcony, terrace, or roof area.

Window, Balcony and Roof Safety

  • Do not lean out of any windows.
  • Do not lean over balconies or railings.
  • Do not climb onto the roof under any circumstances.
  • Do not allow children to use balconies, terraces, stairs, or roof areas without adult supervision.
  • Do not sit, stand, or climb on railings, walls, windowsills, or outdoor furniture.

Furniture and Care of the House

Please do not move the furniture around. Please use the indoor furniture carefully so it does not get damaged.

No food is allowed in the living room. Please do not eat on the sofa in the living room.

Spills or stains on the living room sofa will result in a €200 cleaning charge.

No Cycling Shoes Inside

Cycling shoes are not allowed inside the house. Please remove cycling shoes before entering to avoid damaging the floors.

Toilet Use

Please do not flush feminine hygiene products, wipes, cotton pads, nappies, paper towels, or anything other than toilet paper into the toilet. These items can block the pipes.

Restricted Areas

Please do not try to open the closed door on the ground floor. Please do not try to enter the apartment at the top of the house. These areas are private and not included in the guest rental.

6. Wi-Fi and Technology

If the Wi-Fi stops working

  1. Check that the router is plugged in.
  2. Restart the router by switching it off for 30 seconds and then turning it back on.
  3. Wait 3–5 minutes for it to reconnect.
  4. Contact us if it still does not work.

TV

You may use the TV in the living room. Please log in using your own streaming service accounts and make sure to log out before leaving.

7. Air Conditioning

Air conditioning remotes can be found in the rooms.

  • Turn off the air conditioning when leaving the house.
  • Do not use the air conditioning when outside doors or windows are open.
  • Please do not set the temperature extremely low for long periods.
  • Make sure all remotes are returned to the rooms before checkout.

8. Kitchen, BBQ and Outdoor Cooking

You are welcome to use the kitchen and basic supplies.

Please use the kitchen appliances as you normally would at home, and treat them with care. Make sure the oven, hob, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, and other appliances are turned off after use.

Please do not leave cooking unattended.

Two dishwasher tablets can be found in the kitchen cupboard. If you run out, please use your own.

Please clean up after cooking and wash used dishes or place them in the dishwasher before checkout.

Outdoor BBQ and Paella Burner

Guests may use the outside BBQ and paella burner. Both are provided with connected gas tanks.

  • Never leave the BBQ or paella burner unattended while they are on.
  • Make sure they are fully turned off after use.
  • Keep children away from the BBQ, paella burner, and gas tanks.
  • Do not use them close to anything flammable.
  • Please clean the BBQ and cooking area after use.
  • No glassware is allowed at or next to the pool.

9. Bathroom and Towels

Fresh towels are provided for each guest. Extra towels are available upon request from the host.

One roll of toilet paper is provided per toilet. If you need more, please purchase additional toilet paper from a local store.

The hairdryer can be found in the drawer next to the main entrance, where the first aid kit is located.

Please do not flush feminine hygiene products, wipes, sanitary products, cotton pads, nappies, paper towels, or any non-toilet-paper items.

Please use the extractor fan or open a window after showering, if available, to reduce humidity.

10. Bedrooms and Storage

Extra blankets and pillows are available upon request from the host.

Please use the provided bedding and pillowcases.

Please do not eat or drink in bed where possible, to avoid stains.

Private storage areas are marked or locked. Please do not open cupboards, drawers, doors, or rooms that are closed, locked, or marked as private.

11. Laundry

Laundry facilities are available. The washing machine can be found next to the pool, in the little cabin.

Please use your own washing detergent. The drying rack can also be found next to the pool cabin.

  • Please do not overload the washing machine.
  • Please do not leave laundry running when you leave the house.
  • Please do not hang wet clothes on wooden furniture, doors, or indoor furniture.

12. Rubbish and Recycling

Please separate rubbish properly before taking it out.

  • Paper

  • General waste

The main garbage containers are located as you turn off from the main road, on the left side, next to the small house.

Please do not leave rubbish inside the house for long periods, especially food waste.

Please do not leave rubbish outside the house, around the gate, or in shared/public areas.

13. Pool Area

The pool is available for guests to enjoy, but please use it safely and responsibly.

  • Children must never be left unattended in the pool area.
  • Guests use the pool at their own responsibility and liability.
  • Do not jump or dive into the pool.
  • No glassware is allowed at or next to the pool.
  • Please use only plastic cups and non-breakable items outside and around the pool.
  • Please keep the pool area clean and tidy.
  • Please do not use the pool late at night during quiet hours.
  • The pool area is recorded for safety and liability reasons.

Please dry off before entering the house and do not sit on indoor furniture while wet or sandy.

14. Outdoor Areas and Roof Balcony

You are welcome to enjoy the outdoor areas of the villa.

The roof balcony / terrace may also be used to spend time and enjoy the views. Please use the stairs carefully and only use this area at your own risk.

Guests may use the sun umbrella on the roof terrace. Please close it in case of wind, do not leave it unattended while open, and always close it when leaving the terrace.

  • No loud music or shouting outside.
  • Do not throw anything into the garden, pool, street, or neighbouring properties.
  • Do not leave candles, cigarettes, glass, or rubbish outside.
  • Please dispose of cigarette ends very carefully because of the fire risk.
  • Please bring any cushions or soft furnishings inside if it rains.
  • Please respect quiet hours from 10:00 PM until 7:00 AM.
  • Do not lean out of windows or over balconies.
  • Do not climb onto the roof under any circumstances.
  • No glassware is allowed at or next to the pool.

Good to Know

In the area, after 10:00 PM, alcoholic beverages cannot be purchased from convenience stores or fuel stations. Please plan ahead if needed.

16. Safety Information

First Aid

The first aid kit can be found in the drawer next to the main entrance. If you use anything from the first aid kit, please let us know.

Fire Safety

Fire extinguishers are located in the pool area next to the BBQ.

The smoke alarm can be found in the living room.

Please do not cover, disconnect, or remove batteries from smoke alarms or safety devices.

Emergency Exits

  • From the ground floor, use the main entrance.
  • From the second floor, use the balcony door to exit onto the balcony, then use the outside stairs.

Please move calmly and carefully, and do not use unsafe routes.

Hot Water, Electricity, Gas and Water

If you have any issues with hot water or electricity, please contact us.

Please do not tamper with any electrical panel, gas valve, water valve, utility meter, or technical equipment.

The main water shut-off is outside on the street, to the left of the gate when leaving the premises.

Contact us immediately if you smell gas, notice a leak, lose power, or experience any electrical issue.

17. Before You Check Out

Checkout is by 10:00 AM.

Before leaving, please complete this simple checkout checklist:

  1. Leave used towels on the bathroom floor.
  2. Strip the beds, if possible.
  3. Wash used dishes or place them in the dishwasher.
  4. Separate paper, glass, plastic, and general waste, and use the correct garbage containers off the main road.
  5. Turn off lights, air conditioning, oven, hob, BBQ, paella burner, and appliances.
  6. Close and lock all windows and outside doors, including the kitchen door and the 1st floor terrace doors.
  7. Check that you have packed all personal belongings.
  8. Return the 3 house keys and 2 gate remote controls to the host at checkout.
  9. Close the gate and house door securely behind you.
Make sure you have the keys with you before closing the main door or terrace door.

Please message us when you have checked out so we know the villa is ready for cleaning.
